Most people will experience neck pain at some point in their lives. Neck pain can result from a variety of causes with a wide range of severity from simple muscle strains to more serious complications like disc heriation and pathological disease. Neck pain can be acute (occuring immediately as a result of an injury) or chronic (occurring gradually over a period of time) and has a profound effect on quality of life. Most common causes of neck pain include stress, trauma, repetitive stress injuries, poor ergonomics, and poor posture.
