Chiropractor
Originally from North Western Ireland, Seamus is a UK trained chiropractor with a Master’s degree from the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic. After playing football and rugby from a young age, Seamus himself was suffering from severe back pain, and after visiting various physiotherapists, osteopaths, and acupuncturists he attended a chiropractor for treatment. The results were remarkable, and he has never had the same severity of back pain since. After seeing the health benefits that chiropractic could achieve, he decided to train as a chiropractor from the age of 19. He continues to be heavily involved with sport and understands from a patient and clinician perspective the complexities of back pain and sporting injuries.
Seamus combines manual soft tissue treatment modalities and dry needling together with traditional diversified chiropractic to treat a wide range of conditions including lower back and neck pain, headaches and sporting injuries.

Seamus understands the benefit of functional training, rehab and prehab during and after treatment and places a strong focus on this throughout. He wants to empower the patient with their own tools and exercises that that can do at home when they are improving from the manual side of care.
He has a special interest in the most problematic of back and neck pain cases particularly patients who have tried many types of treatments and training but have not gotten anywhere or even had proper explanation about their complaint. He is certified in DNS (dynamic neuromuscular stabilisation) and McGill method which makes up his philosophy about training.

CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and its effects of these disorders on the function of the nervous system and general health.
Chiropractors are spinal specialists, who are highly trained to deal with a wide range of neuro-musculoskeletal disorders. Have a look at what we can treat under the conditions section.
Primarily the focus of the chiropractors at Oslo Kiropraktikk is to address the spinal related or joint dysfunction primarily using joint manipulation or spinal adjustments. However the most important step in the management of musculoskeletal disorders is a comprehensive and through examination, therefore the first goal of the assessment process is to identify appropriate case management or see whether there is a need to refer out to another healthcare professional or MRI. Once this has been cleared, next is to localise the site of the lesion and identify the extent of the involved tissue. For example this can be a neck problem caused by a low back issue that has been present for many years asymptomatically.
Once a diagnosis has been made through chiropractic and orthopaedic examination, the chiropractor will use a combination of high velocity and low amplitude adjustments and soft tissue treatment to restore proper joint biomechanics.

All of the chiropractors at Majorstuen, have completed a masters level program in Chiropractic and are licensed through SAK, the Norwegian Registration Authority for health Personal.
